When you’re doing the 30-day Candida Cleanse protocol, and you first start out, it can be difficult to find all the items you’ll need. Some of them might be new for you, or you might not be sure where to buy them. In this post I’ve compiled a list of some of the more tricky items to find, so that you’ll be successful, and won’t have to hunt for an exorbitant amount of time to find them. I’ve included some pictures of the different products, and places where I have found them. If you find them at other stores, be sure to leave it in the comments, and we can help everyone find the items they’ll need! Hopefully this helps you out as you start the Candida Cleanse.
Also, if you need, I’ve made links to places online where you can purchase the items, just in case you’re not able to find them at stores near you. I only link to places that I trust, and know will give you the product you’re looking for.
The only item that I had to order online was the unsweetened soy-nut butter, from Well.ca. But, if you eat almonds, an unsweetened plain almond butter is completely acceptable too. (Or, if you’re mildly industrious, you can make a really simple and delicious homemade version too).
Candida Cleanse Items:
Rice “milk” ( Yu Brand(preferred) or Rice Dream- either original or vanilla).
Store: Superstore (Organic Aisle – comes in tetra-pak).
Store: Bulk Barn or Grain Process Enterprises (they sell in bulk, and have really good prices).
Earth Balance Spread
Store: Superstore (Organic Aisle – in the refrigerated section). (Because it is refrigerated, I wasn’t able to recommend any places to order it online. I’d recommend that if you’re unable to locate it, ask your grocery store if they might be able to order it in for you).
Store: Loblaw’s Superstore (Organic Aisle – not refrigerated, but needs to be refrigerated after opening) / Sobey’s.
Store: Loblaw’s Superstore (Organic Aisle – I use Lundberg Brand).
Store: Loblaw’s Superstore (Organic Aisle).
Most of the other foods for the cleanse are easier to find, so I haven’t included them here, but whenever a client starts this cleanse, I thoroughly walk them through it, and give pointers for where to find options, etc.
I hope you find this helpful! This site is optimized for mobile devices, so you can always just open up this article from your phone while you’re shopping, and just hunt for the items down the list. It makes it a lot easier than having to scour the store.
I wanted to say thank you for the warm reception my Thick and Dreamy Frozen Chocolate Soynut Butter Cups received! What an encouragement! I hope you have a chance to try them soon! (they didn’t last long in our house at all!).
What kind of summer things are you working on at your house? I love this time in the year, because you can just wander through the garden centers and dream about all the things you could grow, and everything in your garden is starting to remind you why you liked it in the first place. It’s like rediscovering your yard all over again. It’s been miraculously transformed from a bunch of frozen dirt and dead twigs into this living place where everything grows and does just what it’s meant to. Hopefully later this week I’ll be able to share a few photos of the things growing, and of my newest experiment, the tiniest rabbit hutch garden. You’ll have to come back and see it.
In the comments, remember to leave a note about whether you were able to find some of these items at other stores. Or, leave a message about what things are growing in your garden this year. (Or better yet, leave a picture in the Facebook page, or tweet me!).
Take care, and have a great day!
